 ヤマモトダイキ / Daiki Yamamoto

1992年福岡県生まれ。ジャズマヌーシュ（Gypsy Jazz / Jazz Manouche）を専門とするギタリスト。

2012年より渡仏を重ね、Mathieu Chatelain氏に師事。「ジプシーピッキング」や「ポンプ」といった独自の演奏スタイルを学び、アジア圏でも数少ない本格的なジプシージャズ演奏者のひとりとして活動している。

2018年、日・仏・韓合作アルバム『Wish You Were Here』でレコードデビュー。Antoine Boyer氏と共演。

2019年には英国March Manouche Festivalに出演し、Tcha Limberger、Denis Changらと共演。さらにフランス・ドイツ国境に位置するForbachのロマ音楽家一族、Schmitt家とのセッション・交流も行う。

2022年、1stアルバム『Wave』を発表。Yamamoto Daiki Trio / Quartet名義で日本各地のフェスやイベントに出演。

2024年、ブラジル「Festival de Jazz Manouche de Piracicaba」に招聘され、Tim Kliphuis, Paulus Schaferらと共演。ブラジル三都市を巡るツアーを行う

2025年、フランス・フォンテーヌブローで毎年開催される世界最高峰のジプシージャズフェスティバル、Festival Django Reinhardtのステージへ日本人・アジア人として初めて公式に出演。

YouTubeやZINE等を通じてジプシージャズの魅力を伝える活動も行っており、演奏家としてだけでなく発信者としても注目を集めている。

Daiki Yamamoto

Born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1992, Daiki Yamamoto is a guitarist specializing in Gypsy Jazz / Jazz Manouche.

Since 2012, he has made multiple visits to France to study this unique musical style firsthand, becoming one of the few authentic Gypsy Jazz performers in the Asian region.

In 2018, he made his recording debut with the Japan-France-Korea collaborative album Wish You Were Here, featuring Antoine Boyer.

In 2019, he performed at the March Manouche Festival in Wales, sharing the stage with Tcha Limberger, Denis Chang, and others. He also visited the Roma community in Forbach, France, deepening his connection with the roots of the music.

In 2022, he released his first album Wave and has since been performing at festivals and events across Japan with his ensemble, the Yamamoto Daiki Trio / Quartet.

In 2024, he was officially invited to perform at the Festival de Jazz Manouche de Piracicaba in Brazil, appearing alongside artists such as Paulus Schafer.

In addition to performing, he shares insights on Gypsy Jazz through YouTube and independent publications, engaging audiences as both a musician,educator and a cultural communicator.
